This music is dedicated to Marcel Proust. His fine sensitivity, his singular genius and the particular attention he gives to the smallest shades of the emotive universe of the human race are very dear to me and have sincerely inspired me during the composition and realisation of this work.  It is this feeling of affection and gratitude that links me to this writer, in a similar manner to what happens when the works of the great artists say things about ourselves we didn't know, or perhaps only partially knew. That way, those things expand from the personal individual's dimension of the author, to become shared wealth of a wider host of persons.

Questa musica è dedicata a Marcel Proust. La sua fine sensibilità, il suo genio singolare e la sua particolare attenzione alle più piccole sfumature dell'universo emotivo del genere umano me lo hanno reso particolarmente caro e mi hanno sinceramente ispirato durante la composizione e la realizzazione di questo lavoro. È un sentimento di affetto e gratitudine che mi lega a questo scrittore, in maniera simile a quella per cui accade, talvolta, che le opere dei grandi artisti, dicendo delle cose di noi che non sapevamo o sapevamo soltanto a metà, escano dalla dimensione personale dell'individuo che le ha create diventando, così, patrimonio comune di una più ampia schiera di persone.
